Who: Adam has been working in a job for a year and a half post-graduation that is not a fit for him and is looking to make a change.

Jodi then extracted transferable experience from his background and restructured his resume using action-oriented and quantifiable data. Since Adam was still using his college resume, it did not effectively showcase his professional experience and newly acquired skills. We updated it to reflect his growth and make him a stronger candidate.

Optimizing LinkedIn & Networking: We taught Adam how to leverage LinkedIn to connect with professionals at companies he was applying to. He learned that simply submitting applications online was not enough—building relationships and networking would significantly increase his chances of getting his resume reviewed.

Interview Preparation: We practiced interview questions and responses to help Adam articulate how his current job responsibilities aligned with the roles he was pursuing. Additionally, he learned how to stand out by researching companies and preparing insightful questions for the interviewers.

Application Efficiency: We created a tailored cover letter, optimized Adam’s LinkedIn profile, and provided thank-you note templates to help him streamline his application process.

Salary Negotiation: When Adam received an offer, Jodi reviewed the details and guided negotiating a higher salary.

Outcome: Within one week of using his new resume, Adam landed a job in healthcare recruiting. He successfully interviewed for the position and received a job offer, which he accepted.
