Irrelevant hobbies and interests: Unless it’s relevant, don’t include them.
Too many soft skills: Include more hard skills and achievements
Your professional headshot: Do not include any pictures on your resume
Personal pronouns: Do not write your bullets with, “I managed…”. Just start with, “Managed…”.
The wrong kind of email: AOL and Hotmail are out! Gmail and outlook are more current.
Your mailing address (if you’re applying out-of-state): If you want to include your city and state, that works, but your personal home address, not necessary.
Job positions older than 10 to 15 years: Expand on your experience in the past 10 years. Anything after, just include company name, job title and dates.
